// TYPE PROJECT // Logo redesign - Brand identity
// DATE // 04 - 2022
Geus has been a client from me since 2021. I’ve mainly been designing flyers for them. In March 2022 they approached me with the question if I also designed logo’s. They wanted to change their name from “De Geus Events” to “Geus”. They were changing their audience from families with kids towards teenagers and adolecents. And they needed a new logo to go along with that.
Some of their new characteristics were modern, playfull and robust. They also wanted to keep their former icon but wanted to change the typography. With those wishes in mind I came up with the following design and color combination.
By using a new font I added a more modern and clean look, but kept a little hint of playfulness due to the capital G and the lower case F and D (rounded stems and ascenders). Adding to that, the use of purple and orange it makes for a memorable and remarkable final design. Below you see some complimentary designs to showcase how a complete identity in this style would look.
